SSL at the CSC Trust Without Borders Summit 2026

SSL is a regional sponsor of the CSC's Trust Without Borders 2026 Summit

The Cloud Signature Consortium (CSC) brings its flagship global summit to Bogotá, Colombia, from May 13-14, 2026; SSL will be there as a regional sponsor.

The Trust Without Borders Summit is not a typical industry conference. The event will bring together regulators, policymakers, PKI administrators, trust service providers, and technology leaders who are all working on the same fundamental challenge: making digital trust work seamlessly across borders, jurisdictions, and regulatory frameworks.

Previous editions took place in Tokyo and Cape Town. Bogotá marks the third installment outside of Europe, and the location reflects Latin America’s emergence as a dynamic hub for digital transformation. The conversations happening here will shape how businesses and institutions interact securely for years to come.

For SSL, a globally trusted certificate authority (CA) and the event’s regional host, the summit sits squarely at the center of what we do every day, from certificate issuance and powering digital signatures to authenticating identities and establishing trust across the web. When the global digital trust community gathers to advance interoperability and open standards, our team helps to lead in those discussions.

Daniel Rendon Takes the Stage

SSL’s EVP of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development, Daniel Rendon, will play an active role at the summit as a CSC Board Member and a speaker in Bogotá. Rendon offered his perspective ahead of the summit that “The future of global agreements depends on digital trust that works everywhere. Interoperability is the language of trust, and Trust Without Borders starts when digital signatures speak the same language worldwide.” Rendon also notes the emergence of new threats, necessitating new use cases for the CSC API, such as SSL’s C2PA Manifest Hash Signing Service. It protects media files with digital signatures that prove authenticity and content provenance.

Joining him from the SSL team are Alex Levy-Thiebaut, Sr. Account Executive, EU; Luis Cervantes, Compliance Officer; and Jose Masdeu, CA Administrator. They will all be on the ground across both days of the summit. Together, they cover the full spectrum of what SSL offers, including strategic partnerships, business development, and the operational knowledge that comes from working at the core of the PKI and digital trust ecosystem.

What the Conversations Will Cover

The agenda at Trust Without Borders reflects the real challenges that PKI administrators, security leaders, and decision-makers are navigating right now. A few themes stand out from the speaker lineups:

Interoperability is the core challenge: Numerous speakers have framed interoperability as the defining issue of this moment. Digital trust cannot scale if it remains confined within isolated frameworks or local markets. Cross-border digital signatures require common standards, aligned policies, and trust services that actually communicate with one another.

Digital identity at the speed of AI: As AI accelerates across industries, the need for trusted, interoperable digital identity systems becomes more urgent. Several sessions will explore how identity frameworks can keep pace with the speed at which AI-driven systems operate and what governance structures are needed to support them.

Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) readiness: This one is no longer a future concern. The quantum threat to existing cryptographic infrastructure is moving from theoretical to practical, and Trust Without Borders will dedicate real time to what organizations need to do now to prepare for how PQC will affect digital identity and digital signatures.

Latin America’s role in the global ecosystem: The summit’s location in Bogotá is not just symbolic. The opening session specifically addresses advancing digital trust in the region, focusing on cross-sector collaboration and bridging local regulatory frameworks with global interoperability standards.

Beyond the formal agenda, the summit also features a closed-door PKI Regulator Forum and structured one-on-one networking, making it a genuinely productive environment for the conversations that matter most.

Register and Connect with the SSL Team

For anyone who manages regulation, PKI infrastructure, works in digital identity, shapes security policy, or leads teams that depend on trusted digital systems, the Trust Without Borders Summit offers two days of focused, high-level dialogue with the people and organizations actively building the future of cross-border digital trust. The speaker lineup spans regulators, standards bodies, trust service providers, and technology innovators, all working through the same questions your organization is likely already asking. You can explore the full program agenda, and there is still time to register.

SSL will all be on the ground in Bogotá, and we’ll be updating a live daily journal straight from the conference floor just as we did with RSAC. If you plan to be there, we encourage you to reach out to the SSL team onsite. Whether the conversation is about certificates, Private PKI, cloud signing, content authenticity (e.g., C2PA), or the broader direction of digital trust, find us there to discuss.
