Disable auto-renewal for certificates

Each certificate issued by SSL.com has a validity period in order to mitigate the damage in case of a private key compromise. The certificate needs to be renewed before it expires to avoid mishaps in services. However, for enterprises that have to deal with large amounts of certificates, the process of renewal can become tedious. SSL.com has incorporated a setting that enables the auto-renewal of any certificate when its validity period expires. This is enabled by default to help prevent service interruption. If a client desires to remove this option, they can follow a simple procedure that is described in this article.

Step 1: You should see the dashboard. Look for the settings button and select it. The following image resembles what you should see on your screen: Step 2: Scroll all the way down to the “Edit Settings” page. You will see a section marked “Automated Certificate Renewal”. This should look like this: Step 3: Uncheck the button labeled “Enabled”.

Step 4: Click Submit to save the changes

You are all set! From now on, the certificates that you have from SSL.com will not be automatically renewed when their validity period expires. If you would like to enable the auto-renewal again, you can simply follow the same procedure and check the tick button labeled “Enabled” from step 5 and then click Submit to save the changes.
