If I Already Have an SSL Certificate With My Hosting Service Can I Switch to SSL.com?

Yes, almost always. You are generally NOT locked into one company for your certificate needs. As long as your web host allows third-party certificates* you can quickly replace any existing certificate you have with one from SSL.com.

Just create a user account with SSL.com to order your new certificate, then submit a certificate signing request (CSR) and validate your request. We’ll provide you with your new certificate and you can proceed to the final stage of installation and binding.

Most hosting providers allow you to install third-party SSL certificates. If you aren’t sure, please contact your provider.
Thank you for choosing SSL.com! If you have any questions, please contact us by email at Support@SSL.com, call 1-877-SSL-SECURE, or just click the chat link at the bottom right of this page.
